Wendy Quirt lives in Kanata, Ontario. She splits her time between painting in her home studio and travelling from coast to coast, studying animals in their natural setting and gathering reference material for paintings. She feels both inspired and compelled to capture the strength and fragility of nature in her art.
When not in the studio or in the field, she also visits local elementary classrooms, talking about her experiences and teaching children about Canadian wildlife. She hopes to teach her own children and others about the beauty and value of nature through her art and discussions of life outdoors.
